FileMaker Pro - Color Mod Docs:

FileMaker Pro v1.02 provides color printing capabilities with a color capable printer, but it is hard wired to only work with the Apple printers.

NOTE: FileMaker Pro v1.02 is REQUIRED, earlier versions do NOT support color.

You can ResEdit FileMaker Pro so that it accepts our drivers.  To do this, you must add our driver id (20) to the list of acceptable drivers.

Use ResEdit to open a COPY of your FileMaker Pro v1.02 application.

Open the resource called "PREX".  A window should appear with two items id#0 and #4.

Open the item with the id#0

From the standard hex screen the following should be displayed: "0201 05"

Change the "02" to a "03" and add "20" after the "05".  The hex screen should now display: "0301 0520"

Save the changes and quit ResEdit.

The next time you run your modified FileMaker Pro there will be an additional checkbox in the Page Setup dialog which is "Color Ribbon Installed".  Make sure this is selected for color printing.
